Failure? Going into Iraq was the Failure.

We have heard and we will hear a lot from Bush and his supporters about failure. We will probably hear it from Bush tonight in his speech.

We have heard it over and over. "Pulling out of Iraq is failure." "We lose if we withdraw our troops." "We will only lose if we lose our will." "We will embolden the terrorists if we show weakness in Iraq."

That is called defining the debate. In my opinion, this is a false definition. So let's redefine this.

The "failure" was going into Iraq in the first place. Bush failed to do the right thing by not allowing weapons inspectors to their job. Bush failed to tell us the truth. As a country, we failed to question his lies. We lost the battle for peace by allowing him to invade Iraq. We emboldened the terrorists by illegally attacking an Arab country that had not attacked us and posed no threat to us.

That was our failure.

And we can only continue to fail, if we do not correct our past mistakes and get out of Iraq.

We failed, we lost, but we can put and end to that failure and loss.

The only way to for us to win is to leave.
